The GPL-MycoTOX screens for mycotoxins which are some of the most prevalent toxins in the environment. They are metabolites produced by fungi like mould and can infest buildings, vehicles and foods. The test uses advanced mass spectrometry which is necessary to detect lower levels of fungal toxins and pairs perfectly with other Great Plains Laboratory tests to assess for exposure to common environmental toxins. These include the Organic Acids Test (OAT), Toxic Non-Metal Chemical Profile (GPL-TOX), Phospholipase A2 Activity Test and the Glyphosate Test. Conditions and symptoms linked to mycotoxins include fever, pneumonia-like symptoms, cardiovascular disease, rheumatic conditions, asthma, sinusitis, memory loss, chronic fatigue, skin problems, depression, anxiety, ADHD, liver damage and cancer.
